BIOGRAPHY

Leon Hsieh joined the tenOever Lab in 2023 as a postdoctoral fellow. His research focuses on engineering viruses to study the host immune response to infection and to better understand the viral determinants underlying disease severity. He completed his PhD in the lab of Dr. Andrea Cox at Johns Hopkins, where his work focused on the myeloid cell response to SARS-CoV-2. Prior to starting his PhD training, Leon worked in the lab of Dr. Skip Virgin at Washington University in St. Louis, studying norovirus tropism and pathogenesis.
