BIOGRAPHY

Leon Hsieh is a postdoctoral fellow who joined the tenOever lab in 2023. In the lab, Leon is interested in using engineered viruses to study immune response to viral infection and gain a better understand of the viral determinants underlying disease severity. His Ph.D. work in the lab of Dr. Andrea Cox focused on myeloid cell immune response to SARS-CoV-2. Prior to his PhD training, Leon was involved in investigating tropism and pathogenesis of norovirus in the lab of Dr. Skip Virgin.
