BIOGRAPHY

Sydney is an MD/PhD student in the tenOever lab. Sydney grew up in Bethesda, MD and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Trombone Performance. Between undergraduate and graduate school she worked as a Research Specialist in the lab of Dr. Kathleen Collins where she investigated the biochemical properties of a non-LTR reverse transcriptase. As she begins her work in the tenOever lab, Sydney is interested in furthering our understanding of viral pathogenesis and utilizing viral vectors for genetic manipulation.
