BIOGRAPHY

Sydney is an MD/PhD student in the tenOever Lab. She grew up in Bethesda, MD and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Trombone Performance. Before starting graduate school, she worked as a Research Specialist in the lab of Dr. Kathleen Collins at UC Berkeley, where she investigated the biochemical properties of a non-LTR reverse transcriptase. In the tenOever Lab, Sydney’s research is focused on furthering our understanding of viral pathogenesis and leveraging viral vectors as tools for genetic manipulation.
